There is a new player in the chlorine-free disposable diaper market and it is Earth’s Best. You are probably familiar with their organic baby food. I found the diapers by accident when I was picking up Seventh Generation Diapers at Babies R Us.
The Earth’s Best Diapers are made with certified non-Chlorine bleached material, non-toxic, latex-free, dye-free, and perfume-free. The Earth’s Best diapers were the same price but there were 3 more diapers in the package (I currently use size 3). I decided to pick up a package of Earth’s Best instead.
I only use disposable diapers for overnight or when my son is at daycare. For me, so far the new Earth’s Best diapers have been good. I really have not noticed a difference in performance. They do seem a little thinner than Seventh Generation diapers and maybe a little more flexible. I would say the size 3 diapers run big compared to Seventh Generation. The Earth’s Best diapers are white instead of natural colored. I prefer Earth’s Best or Seventh Generation over Nature Babycare diapers, those are too stiff and papery. Because they are cheaper I will probably continue to use the Earth’s Best diapers.

Good to know. A friend of mine really doesn’t like the Seventh Generation brand, even though we will certainly give them a try once our little girl is born. I’ll keep and eye out for Earth’s Best, too.

I also used 7th Generation & just found Earth’s Best. I’m curious if you have found anywhere online which states what they use to whiten the diapers, since they state they don’t use chlorine. I didn’t see it on their packages or website. I just sent a question on their website. I’m wondering if it is another chemical I’m not interested in having against my children. Thank you!!

Shannon brings up an interesting point about Chlorine. I found this great article about eco-friendly diapers on the blog MamaStories. The article devotes an entire section to explaining what Elemental-Chlorine Free and Totally Chlorine-Free mean regarding diapers. There is also a ton of other great info to consider when choosing diapers. http://blog.bolandbol.com/product-reviews/green-diapers-review/
