Fun Spaceship-like Ceiling Fan

June 5th, 2008 · No Comments

Fan with LED Lights

We live in a split level townhome with the bedrooms on the top floor. It is nearly impossible to regulate the temperature in our home. While the basement freezes the top floor is burning up. Our son’s nursery seems to be the hottest spot in the house. To remedy the problem we set out to find the perfect ceiling fan.

Installing and using ceiling fans is one really easy way to save energy in the home by reducing the use of the air conditioner. In the case of our home it will also help us enjoy the nursery more by providing some relief from the temperature difference between that room and the rest of the house.

Fan from Below

Most fans designed for kids rooms are so kitschy and we hate themed light fixtures. But we found this great fan by Harbour Breeze at Lowe’s. It stood out amongst all the more traditional style fans. The sleek styling and ring of LED lights at the bottom made me think spaceship! How fun is that for a boy nursery? And at only 36 inches it was the perfect size for a small bedroom. Our son loves staring at it as he drifts off to sleep.
