I think it is great that Dwell Studio recognized the opportunity to use their wonderful bold patterns for window treatments. However, I think they have priced themselves out of the average consumers price range for decorating a nursery. The Dwell Studio for The Shade Store drapery panels are the least expensive starting at $156 per panel (unless you want grommets, those start at $206). The roman shades start at $201. The cornices start at $198 for a 3 foot width. The laminated roller shades start at an astounding $273 for a 36×60 inch shade.

Okay so they are expensive, but they are also fully customizable. So if you have odd-shaped windows, love Dwell prints, and have a big wallet then these window treatments are for you. For the rest of us we will just have to admire these from a distance. It is unfortunate that they do not offer a range of standard sizes without customization at a more affordable price.
If you really want Dwell Studio window treatments but cannot afford these, why not make your own? You can purchase a Dwell Studio sheet set or duvet set and use the fabric to make window treatments. With a full-size sheet you could get two 96 inch curtain panels for $168 and a little time at the sewing machine. I actually did something similar for my son’s crib bedding. I found Dwell sheets in the light blue dot and thin stripe for less than $40 at the Room and Board Outlet. With one sheet set I was able to make him a quilt, dust ruffle, and bumper. I purchased a plain white bumper for $15 and made a slip cover with the Dwell fabric, dot on one side and thin stripe on the other. I used thin stripe for the dust ruffle and dot for the quilt.
