Good Read: Squeaky Green

May 28th, 2008 · No Comments

Squeaky Green book

On the way out the door at Babies R Us I had to go back to the register to make an impulse purchase. I had spotted Squeaky Green: The Method Guide to Detoxing Your Home and could not resist. I guess my impulse instincts were right, because it was a very good read and will be a very good resource.

Squeaky Green was written by the creators of Method, Eric Ryan and Adam Lowry. Refreshingly without pushing their own products, they have written an incredible room by room resource for ridding the world of dirty. One of my favorite parts upon initial scan of the book was the “Dirty Little Secrets” spread throughout. They provide little factoids you might not have been aware of.

Another highlight of the book is the forward by Danny Seo, who among so many other things writes one of my favorite green blogs called the Daily Danny. He also provides helpful tips throughout the book.

By the end of the book I was overwhelmed with the amount of cleaning I need to do, but at the same time I finally felt empowered to keep my house clean and healthy. I think I will just work through one tab of the book at a time.
