Phillip Jeffries Wall Coverings for a Natural Nursery

May 23rd, 2008 · No Comments

Bamboo Forest panels
I was searching for eco-friendly wall coverings and several sources mentioned Phillip Jeffries. They have so many beautiful choices for handcrafted, eco friendly wallpapers and coverings. I think wall coverings can be both a visual and tactile treat for little ones. You just have to go to the site to see them all, but here are a few of my favorites along with suggestions for which type of nursery they would look best in.

The Bamboo Forest panels (pictured at top) are a unique wallcovering option. They are sold in 48×96 inch panels. The panels are a modern, eco-friendly take on wood paneling. This would add wonderful texture to an accent wall in a safari, tropical, or surf-themed nursery. For a more interesting option, these panels can e mounted on the ceiling.

Juicy jute
The new Juicy Jute collection is a jute grasscloth with colors ranging from neutral to saturated brights. The bolder colors, like Blueberry or Orange Nectarine, would be perfect for an accent wall in any modern nursery.

Zebra Grass Wall Covering
The Zebra Grass collection is an amazing vertical grasscloth wall covering inspired by zebra wood. This would look great in a safari or woodland themed nursery.

Phillip Jeffries also carries wall coverings from other eco-friendly materials like raw silk, cork, and hemp. If you want to ring texture and dimension to your naturally modern nursery this is a great place to start.
