Last week I recieved an e-mail from Karen Rockness of G Diapers just checking in to see how my G Diapers were working out. I believe they send a message to all new customers. I appreciated the customer service and replied to the message explaining I loved the G Diaper but that I could not afford the inserts. I asked for tips on using cloth inserts. Karen replied explaining the G Diaper works best with a plastic-free flushable. Yet she still offered up some great advice on using cloth inserts.
Karen wrote “Cloth tends to be a bit bulkier than our flushable, which can compromise the fit and lead to leaks. Hemp or fleece doublers tend to be less bulky, fitting well inside the breathable snap-in liner, and can even be used together with a flushable for nighttime, when the extra absorbency is needed. Cotton Wood Baby is a US-based, mom-made cloth company that manufactures a lovely hemp/cotton doubler. Their small (4”x11”) fits inside our small ‘little g’ pant. They make a customer-requested 6”x14” doubler that fits inside our medium and large ‘little g’ pants.”
Cotton Wood Baby indeed carries cloth inserts specially made for the G Diaper and they say they are made for “heavy wetters”! This is exactly the eco-friendly and affordable solution I need. From the home page click on the G Diapers link. Orders can be placed by phone, fax, or e-mail. A package of 6 small hemp and stay-dry fleece doublers costs $18 and fits the small ‘little g’ pant. They also have a large size that fits the medium/large ‘little g’ pants. The cost is $23.75 for a package of 6.
Thank you Karen “Rockstar” Rockness for your awesome customer service! I am going to order the Cotton Wood Baby Inserts and some more ‘little g’ pants this weekend.
