Safari Trend in Organic Crib Bedding

After going to the zoo yesterday it is easy for me to see why animal prints are such a big trend in nursery decor…because kids love animals! There seems to be a growing trend using safari-themed prints in organic crib bedding.

Coyuchi George Collection

You have all undoubtedly seen the adorable hand-embroidered crib linens by Coyuchi. They may have been the first to introduce a jungle/safari theme into the organic crib bedding market. The Coyuchi George Collection can be purchased online at Kushtush Organics.

Q Collection Junior Celestial Crib Sky

My personal favorite has elephants on parade! I love the Celestial Parade Crib Set by Q Collection Junior. It comes in two colors, cutely named, Sky (shown) and Wheat. This is such an elegant crib set and it seems as if it would be very soothing.

Now the big stores are jumping on the bandwagon. Recently Pottery Barn Kids released a line of organic crib bedding with a photo-realistic animal print. They also released organic sheeting in a Safari print. I love the pattern on the sheets and would have prefered they used it for crib linens. Unfortunately all of the coordinating accessories, even the beautiful quilt, are not organic. The print only comes in what I would consider to be “boy colors”. So I guess the girls get left out this round. There are currently no printed organic sheets in “girl colors”.

Gap also just recently released their BabyGap Home line including organic safari-themed crib bedding. Their cute safari prints are available in blue, pink, and brown (pictured at top). BEWARE: The organic line is selling fast and Gap is removing the pictures from the site if the item is sold out. Check back often to find the pieces you want.
