We cannot do much about past purchases and decisions we have made that were not green. All we can do is resolve to make green, eco-friendly decisions going forward. The problem is where do you start and how much is enough?
Most of us could never afford an entire green renovation of our homes, let alone buy some of the pricey organic crib sets on the market today. But we think going green is a lifestyle choice and a process. It can’t happen overnight and it does not have to. We think everyone should take baby steps toward a more green, more sustainable life.

A great place to start is in the nursery where your most precious bundle of joy spends a lot of time. The nursery is a great place to look for eco-friendly options that are also natural and safe for your baby. If you are still designing your nursery start now by choosing low-VOC paint and furniture made from FSC certified wood. If you already have a nursery, make small changes going forward, like buying organic cotton or natural wood toys.
We started taking baby steps to green with cloth diapering. Where will you start?
