Get Painting and Breathe in the Freshaire!

Freshaire Paint Can

Periodically we make a trip to Home Depot to wander and dream about all the things we’d love to do in our house. Last night we stumbled upon a new paint choice that looks very exciting. We have for a longtime exclusively used Ralph Lauren Paint. We love the well-edited color selection and the quality of the paint. Lately, with a baby around, we have been looking for a safer, no-VOC paint. I think we found a great Greengaurd certified option at Home Depot. Now if only the furniture moved itself to get ready for painting.

The Freshaire Choice Paint available at Home Depot is the first truly no-VOC paint. The difference between it and other supposedly no-VOC paints is that it also has no-VOCs in the colorant. They have developed a pre-measured colorant delivery system called ColorFresh allowing them to provide the first no-VOC colorant.

Freshaire Paint In-Store Display

I was immediately drawn to the in-store display featuring the 65 color choices divided into four beautiful collections. The nature-inspired collections are aptly named Waterscape, Botanical, Atmosphere, and Earth. I grabbed a few swatches from the Waterscape and Atmosphere collections. The swatches are a very generous 4 x 4 inches. If you want a whole-house coordinating color solution keep all your color choices within one collection and you can’t go wrong.

Freshaire Paint takes it one step further by using recycled materials in everything from brochures to paint cans. The brochures and paint swatches contain recycled materials and can be recycled. The label on the can is printed with soy-based inks on 75% recycled paper. The paint can itself is 100% recycled material.

Greengaurd is an independent, non-profit organization that determines indoor air quality standards for indoor products. The Freshaire Choice paint is the first tinted paint to be fully certified by Greengaurd.
