One of the greatest parts of decorating the nursery is finding all the great toys to go in it. Being a stay-at-home mom myself and needing to stick to a budget, I challenged myself to find cool, modern, eco-friednly toys for $10. I decided to focus my search on handmade toys. Evo, my favorite site for learning about green products, ranks products being handmade as a green attribute. Their definition states “Handcrafted items are generally unique and higher quality compared to mass produced items. The purchase of hand crafted items support artisans and craftspeople who make their good with pride, preserve cultural traditions, and maintain a human connection to their craft.”

Etsy is a wonderland of all things handmade. The Etsy mission is to “enable people to make a living making things, and to reconnect makers with buyers.” A quick search yielded hundreds of handmade toys for $10 or less. Here are the best options for a modern baby each with a price tag of $10:
